Skull Base Surgery and Endoscopic Techniques

This track will highlight the latest in skull base surgical techniques, focusing on minimally invasive and endoscopic approaches for treating tumors, vascular malformations, and congenital abnormalities. Topics will include transnasal endoscopic approaches, craniofacial resection, CSF leak repair, and surgical navigation systems.Discussion will include surgical planning, intraoperative imaging, and postoperative rehabilitation. Surgeons specializing in otolaryngology, neurosurgery, and maxillofacial disciplines will find valuable insights into how modern technologies are enhancing safety and surgical precision. The track will also explore the role of multi-disciplinary collaboration in managing complex skull base pathologies, integrating ENT, neurosurgery, radiology, and oncology expertise. Case-based presentations will highlight challenging scenarios such as pituitary tumors, chordomas, and encephaloceles. Attendees will gain practical experience with neuronavigation tools, intraoperative Doppler, fluorescence-guided surgery, and robotic-assisted resections. Sessions will also address patient selection criteria, reconstructive techniques using vascularized flaps, and long-term follow-up care to minimize complications and recurrence. Emphasis will be placed on training and simulation to enhance surgical skills and reduce learning curves for new technologies. This comprehensive approach ensures optimal outcomes while preserving neurological and sensory functions.
